The association of fundraising professionals is an organization one of its kind. Before the association of fund raising professional there was no other such organization who was working for the welfare and promotion of charitable organizations. This was the first organization which consolidated all its activities and represented the interests of fundraisers and non-profit organizations. The organization was formed in 1960 by three notable fundraisers who had a vision that there should be a proper organization to represent the interest of charitable fundraisers. And today it has the largest fundraising professionals set of connections in the world.
The association for fundraising professionals promotes fundraising organizations working as charitable organizations. These organizations are performing a task which is totally unselfish and noble. This is because they don’t have any personal interest in the activities and events that they are conducting, managing and promoting. Neither do they gain any personal benefit from participating in such events and taking out precious time from their busy schedules, while working hard day in day out to make the fundraiser a success. And all this is done in order to support a cause or help someone out who is in need of the funds/donations. The association fundraising professionals support such organizations and help them achieve their goals.
There are many NGO’s and charitable organizations working to support different people around the globe. Community associations fund raising provides a lot of help and support for fundraising organizations. Different people from a community join together to form an association to help support a cause or event. Community association fund raising ideas can include different things. For example one can have a fancy dress party at school/work, and everyone coming can pay for attending in those costumes. Apart from that a local band can be invited to play at a concert and the ticket proceeds can go towards the fund. A fashion show can also be a good way to raise funds in a community. Marathons can be held, quiz competitions taken and so on, the list is endless. And from all these the community can contribute to help a charitable cause by participating in these events that take place. Associations fundraising are hence a very effective and good way to raise funds and donations. It also promotes friendly relations amongst the members a bond of brotherhood amongst the community is created, knitting it closely together.
Alumni association fundraising is held by alumni associations. Alumni associations are there to maintain contact amongst each other, sponsor scholarships etc for the university students from where they have graduated, and executing and managing alumni fundraisers through which funds are raised to support different activities and programs. The basic purpose of an alumni association is to ensure that the level of participation in activities organized by the association is high, and to build a relationship network amongst the participants.
Fundraising when different people come together for a certain cause can be for different reasons as well. For the American diabetes association and fundraising activities related to that, funds are collected for the benefit and use of diabetes patients in the country. Similarly for the American humane association and fundraising activities pertaining to that we know that the association works for the welfare of children and animals. The association raises a voice against the cruelty and abuse of children and animals, and the funds raised at such a fundraiser are utilized for the prevention of such events.
